Improving heart health
Cardiovascular disease refers to any disease involving the heart/circulation and affects millions of people. That's why Synexus is helping some of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies research medicines that could lead to better treatments. And we need people like you to help.
We're looking for clinical study participants who are either at higher risk of developing heart disease or who have:
- High blood pressure
- High cholesterol
- Angina
- Had heart or coronary artery surgery
- Coronary artery disease (e.g., narrowed arteries)
- Had a heart attack
- Had a stroke
- Diabetes
- Vascular disease (e.g., claudication)
- Another cardiovascular disease
- A family history of heart disease
- Or do you want to assess your risk?
If this sounds like you, or if you would like to check your cardiac risk, register now. Once registered, we'll invite you to one of our centres to help assess which of our clinical studies you may be suitable for.
What are clinical studies?
Ever wondered where your medicine comes from? Well, before your doctor can prescribe it to you, it's carefully tested in clinical studies. First we look at how it affects healthy volunteers. Then, we look at how it affects people with the disease it's intended for. And that’s where we come in – we conduct these later studies for pharmaceutical companies. That means our participants are never the first people to receive the potential new medicine.
Why a study with Synexus?
The Synexus team consists of highly experienced doctors and nurses who carry out research on behalf of some of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies. Over the past 20 years, more than 500,000 people in the UK alone have expressed an interest in Synexus. Such experience, combined with the fact that we only employ the highest-quality staff, means you can be sure that when you join a study run by Synexus, your health is in good hands.
