Diabetes

Exploring the balance between diabetes and cardiac risk

Diabetes can put an extra strain on your heart and increase the risk of having a heart attack or stroke, especially if you already have a cardiac risk factor (as described below).

Synexus are looking for volunteers to take part in a range of clinical studies designed to investigate diabetes or cardiac risk medications.

If you have Type 2 Diabetes, and have you experienced one or more of the following:

  • Heart attack or stroke
  • A diagnosis of angina
  • Narrowing or blockage of your coronary arteries (e.g. had coronary artery bypass, angiogram or surgery or had a cardiac stent fitted)
  • A diagnosis of poor circulation to your legs (e.g. have Peripheral Vascular Disease, Peripheral Arterial disease, Claudication or other circulatory problems)

Or are over 55 and male, or 65 and female and taking / have taken statins for cholesterol management

contact us to see if you are suitable for a clinical study in diabetes or cardiac risk.
